On Tuesday, October 1, Department of Energy (DOE) program managers visited Phage Foundry facilities at Berkeley Lab.

The visit was led by principal investigator, Vivek Mutalik, and co-investigators Jamie Inman, Adam Deutschbauer, Hans Carlson, Harshini Mukundan, and Brady Cress (UC Berkeley). Program managers met team members including Denish Piya (project scientist, Mutalik Lab), Ryan Melnyk (project scientist, Deutschbauer and Carlson Labs), Hemaa Selvakumar (postdoctoral researcher, Mutalik Lab), Flavien Maucourt (postdoctoral researcher, Mutalik Lab), Milo Johnson (postdoctoral researcher, Deutschbauer and Koskella Labs), Mohamad Alayouni (research associate, Mutalik Lab), Yiyan Yao (research associate, Inman Lab), and Caitlin Chiang (program manager).

The visit included tours of Mutalik, Inman, Deutschbauer, and Arkin Labs. Co-investigator Jamie Inman led a special walkthrough of the animal facilities she manages, which are home to important Phage Foundry research.
